This week, Pastor Colt continued the Abiding in God's Word series with a message on being a living witness. Drawing from 1 Peter 2, he reminded us that we are a holy priesthood, carrying the temple of God in our hearts. We are foreigners and exiles, called not to fight the world but to reach it. Sin is our enemy. The world is our mission field. Colt shared how ordinary people brought him the gospel at 18, proving that God uses the willing, not the qualified. Father, make us living witnesses to the people you have placed in our lives, in our homes, our workplaces, and our city. Give us the courage to say yes. In Jesus name, amen.

This Sunday, Pastor Colt opened 1 Peter 2 with a message called "A Holy Priesthood." He reminded us that because of Christ, we are living stones, built together into a spiritual house. He walked through the vice list in verse one (malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, slander), calling us to see these not as rules to follow but as an old identity we've already left behind. Christ is our cornerstone, the one who makes us new. We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, God's special possession, called to carry His presence into every room we walk into this week.

Sometimes we feel too messed up to show up. Like we failed one too many times, so we skip church, or come and hide in the back.

This week Pastor Rich pointed us to Isaiah. When he saw God's glory, he didn't run from his uncleanness. He let God touch his lips with the coal from the altar, and the mess became a commissioning. That's the whole heart of it. God isn't after your polished facade or your perfect wineskin. He wants you, filthy and weary and all. Come get filled with the more.

We were delighted to have Ogo Ekweozor-Holly join us. One line that stayed with us: fear shows up wherever we aren't truly believing God in that area of our lives. For many of us, God feels real in some places but distant in others, so we quietly compartmentalize Him and let other things rule where we haven't fully trusted. What keeps us from believing? Unhealed pain that whispers He didn't come through before. A small view of God. Busyness and fear of change. But the blood of Jesus isn't just an idea we but a reality meant to saturate every part of our lives.

Revival starts in the home. It starts in the everyday. The dinner table. The rough and tumble play. The quiet moments where you model what it looks like to fear God and love your family well.
