You Will Be Holy For I Am Holy - Lachlan Warrell - August 20, 2023

“You are the salt of the earth!” 🧂🔥
This past Sunday, Lachlan Warrell preached a message that defined our true purpose on this Earth:
“To be holy, as God is holy.”
A picture of biblical holiness is found in the Beatitudes of Matthew 5. In this scripture, Christ approves of those whose heart posture is pure and peaceful; whose deepest desire is righteousness.
When we commit ourselves to abide by these beautiful attitudes, Jesus calls us “the salt of the earth… the light of the world.”
Therefore, let us achieve our true purpose, living holy lives seasoned with a wonderful flavor that pleases God.

The Bible and Healing - Bill White - August 13, 2023

Have faith in God. ❤️
Last Sunday, Pastor Bill strengthened us to truly believe in the promise of healing that Jesus’ salvation brings.
The Greek word used in the scriptures for salvation is sozo. It means “saved, healed, delivered.”
With this in mind, we can understand that our faith in Christ has worked to do more than save us from the wages of sin.
Indeed, it has brought us promises of healing and deliverance in the face of disease and the devil's oppression.
Therefore, let us be like Abraham, who was fully convinced that God was able to do what He had promised.
“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23

Praying The Psalms - Colt Emswiler - August 6, 2023

Thursday Aug 10, 2023
This past Sunday, Pastor Colt Emswiler shared a message about the Book of Psalms.
He taught us that the songs in this book (which vary in theme and category) are meant to serve as an access point to the presence of God. As we pray, sing, and meditate on them we will inevitably be led into the presence of God, because they are inspired by Him.
He encouraged us to pray the Psalms as we realized that they speak for us, portraying the very essence of the human heart.
This permission to cry out to God invites us to process our frustrations with the King, and it is in this process that we can connect to the reality of who He is, and what He’s done for us.
Whether in victory or pain, the Book of Psalms will provoke us to pray!

Our God is provoked by remembrance ❤️
It was a blessing to have our sister Dehavilland join us this past Sunday.
She preached about the memorial stones that Elijah used to build an altar for the Lord in 1 Kings 18. These stones were stones of remembrance, raised to encourage the coming generations as a reminder of God's previous faithfulness.
We are thankful that this was the altar that the fire of God fell upon, and are encouraged to seek similar outpourings through the sacrifice of praise!
Through prayers of remembrance, we can provoke God to pour out the fresh fire of His Spirit, which can strengthen even the faith of the next generation.

God can do a lot with a little!
We’re so thankful to have had our brother Teo Hayashi join us this past week. We were empowered to contend for a greater move of God in NYC as we’ve seen in Brazil!
Teo unpacked the story of the widow who begged Elisha for help in 2 Kings 4. He encouraged us to approach God in faith, and to bring the “little” we have to the Lord.
In our weakness, God will prove Himself to be strong, and in our lack, God will provide and receive the maximum glory!
If you are cast down by your “little,” be encouraged. For it is all that God needs to work a miracle!

The presence of the Lord is present to heal. ❤️
This past Sunday, Pastor Rich taught us that while our faith is important to receive our healing, it's the destination of His presence that is paramount.
When it comes to receiving healing it's not just about our faith, but about WHO we put our faith in: Jesus, The Healer.
May our desires for healing always produce a faith that leads us to His presence. ✝️

There's power in prayer 🙏
This past Sunday, Colt shared from 1 Timothy Chapter 2 on the importance of prayer in our lives and how we are to pray.
He shared how prayer isn't just about praying for things we want but for praying to know God and understand what's on His heart. Through intercession, thanksgiving, and petition we can come to a deeper place of knowing Him and His ways.

Let God define you ✝️
This past Sunday, Pastor Colt shared how we need God's Word and His Spirit to define our identity and tell us who we are in Christ.
He challenged us not to let culture sway our opinions and beliefs from what the Word of God says about who we are and who He created us to be–His children, set apart for His purposes. ❤️
Your friends, coworkers, or culture didn't create you. God did. He has a perfect plan for your life. Submit to His truth and let His word define you.
